St John the Baptist Day Feast

It's About Time! • June 22, 2019 • Clocktower Downtown

Special presentation by Dr. John Stocke, Ph.D. on the Antikythera Mechanism.

Dr. John Stocke, Ph.D. is a Professor of Astrophysics at University of Colorado, Boulder. Dr. Stocke worked researching the Antikythera Mechanism, an anomalous analogue timing device of the ancient world.

Discovered in the mediterranean in 1901, the Antikythera Mechanism is a masterful construction enabling its user to accurately depict the positions of the planets and predict eclipses of the sun and moon.

Join us for tapas on the top floors of the Daniel & Fisher Tower (the clocktower) for a unique night of discussion, contemplation, fraternalism, and cigars overlooking the 16th Street mall.

Tickets are $25 each and are limited. You must be a member of Research Lodge of Colorado, Denver No. 5, or Ft Lupton Lodge to purchase a ticket.

Register online HERE. Please note, you will need the password sent to members of the above lodges to access the registration.
